The Department of Physics was established in the year 2006. Department possesses highly qualified, committed and experienced faculty members with doctorate degrees. It has a well-equipped laboratory with all facilities that can accommodate all the students at a time. The Department offers four semesters post-graduation with a specialization in electronics, which helps the students to step in VLSI and Embedded systems. The choice-based credit system has been implemented. So far the department has secured seventeen university ranks and distinctions in the university examination. Every year the Department organizes Extension and Guest Lectures by Eminent Professors and reputed Executives Industry. The department encourages student seminars regularly to improve their conceptual and communication skills. It conducts Personality Development Programs, Spoken English classes, Group Discussions and Computer Awareness Programs for the all-round development of students to meet the present-day requirement. The department offers several academic programs to provide an education that prepares the students with a research orientation and enables them to solve challenging problems not only in physics but also in other areas of global science and indeed society in general.
